• LAS VEGAS, NV •

Binc held its first-ever Annual Summit at The Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas Nevada from September 18-19, 2019. Binc Summit Local Community Partners

The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada, a community-based organization, supports and promotes activities directed at furthering the well-being, positive image, and human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, its allies, and low to moderate-income residents in Southern Nevada.

How Binc contributed: In addition to a contribution to help the organization provide DEI trainings for their community partners who otherwise couldn't afford these kinds of trainings, Binc is asked Bincers to donate gently used clothing to the Switch Trans clothing swap that provides space for trans and gender diverse/expansive individuals to explore their authentic gender and access tools for self-expression. The items included just about any item of clothing for all genders, as well as accessories, and new makeup items.

Community Partner Guest Speaker:

Holly Reese - Manager of Community Engagement

Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. We combine food banking , food rescue (obtaining surplus or unused meats, bread, dairy and produce from hospitality and grocery outlets), and ready-to-eat meals to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada.

How Binc contributed: Binc packed 300 backpacks full of food for kids with food insecurity. Many of these kids rely on school food programs to eat one, sometimes all their meals, and this helped to ensure the didn't go hungry over the weekend.

Community Partner Guest Speaker:

Brian Burton - President & CEO

Get Outdoors Nevada is dedicated to connecting people of all backgrounds and ages to Nevada's diverse outdoor places through education, service, community engagement, and collaboration. Get Outdoors Nevada strives to foster and support a community that discovers, experiences and connects to our state's many natural environments, from wild landscapes and recreational areas to urban trails and parks.

How Binc contributed: Binc made a monetary contribution to Get Outdoors Nevada that will be used to maintain and further develop the Community Healing Garden in Downtown Las Vegas. This garden was built by community members as a tribute to those impacted by the tragedy in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest music festival. The garden provides a place of calm, healing, and a celebration of life.

Community Partner Guest Speaker:

Mauricia M.M. Baca - Executive Director

Dress for Success empowers women to achieve economic independence by enabling them to build a career and become self-sufficient. The organization assists local women in the Las Vegas valley looking to get back on their feet by providing professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help them thrive in work and life.

How Binc contributed: In addition to a monetary contribution that Binc made, Bincers were asked to bring with them a gently used (or new) item to donate. Items donated were women's clothing and accessories that could be worn to work or a job interview.
